Crowne Plaza Hotel, Milpitas, Ca.
Here's a WAP on the roof of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Milpitas. Due to the fact that the Milpitas government is greedy, there are no poletop radios in Milpitas. This WAP is directly across the street from the Cisco worldwide headquarters.

San Mateo East Palo Alto Government Center, East Palo Alto, Ca.
This WAP is located on the roof of the San Mateo East Palo Alto Government Center in beautiful East Palo Alto. Take a break at McDonald's next door. |

Ace Hardware, Pacifica, Ca.
Here's a WAP located on the roof of an Ace Hardware store in Pacifica. This is the only WAP I've found on a single story structure. Of course, Pacifica is a beachside community with no multiple story buildings to speak of.
I was also able to get some electricity-usage data from the PG&E killowatt meter on the side of the building.

Burger King WAP
Here's a WAP on the roof of the old Garden Theatre in San Jose. Great place to have a burger and transfer some data. |

The Good Guys Headquarters, Brisbane, Ca.
This WAP on the roof of The Good Guys headquarters is in an interesting location on Oyster Point in Brisbane. Notice nearly all of the antennas are on this side of the building (most WAPs have 16). It's probably because the SF Bay is located directly behind the building. |
Samaritan Place Apartments, San Jose, Ca.
This WAP is directly across the street from Samaritan Hospital. So if you're going to be laid up at Samaritan Hospital, Don't forget your laptop! |

Hilton Hotel, Downtown San Jose, Ca.
In beautiful downtown San Jose, you'll find this WAP. It's located next to the San Jose Convention Center, and is just a stones throw away from the Discovery Museum. |
Marriott Hotel, Santa Clara, Ca.
This WAP on the roof of the Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara is located just a block from the Network Associates, and Intel Worldwide Headquarters. Major Nortel and 3Com campuses are nearby as well. |

National University, San Jose, Ca.
This WAP on the roof of National University is directly across the street from a major Nortel Packard facility. |
Office Building, Downtown Los Altos, Ca.
Here's a WAP on the roof of a small office building in the affluent downtown area of Los Altos. There are lots of great coffee shops in this area, but it's a bit pricey. |

University of Santa Clara, Santa Clara, Ca.
Amongst all of the antennas on this roof, you'll find a Metricom WAP. This is a dorm building on the campus of Santa Clara University. Unlike Stanford University, this campus is unwired! |
PG&E Tower, Sunnyvale, Ca.
This WAP is in a popular Sunnyvale park off of Iris Avenue. There is also another tower about 50 feet away that has Metricom antennas on it as well. Definitely a great park to relax and get some work done.

Mills High School, Millbrae, Ca.
This WAP at Mills High School will enable hundreds of teenagers to chat before, during, and after classes for many years to come. As soon as a few kids show up with their Ricochet enabled iPAQ's, it just might become all the rage. It might also make those bus rides home a little easier. |
Litigation Solutions, Redwood City, Ca.
Here's a WAP on the roof of a law firm in Redwood City. Increased productivity means more billable hours! |
